Jerk World's CEO Meshia Hylton is an Illinois Institute of Technology alumni and presidential scholar recipient, where she studied Entrepreneurship. She gained her experience in the food industry from her two previous restaurants. She made the decision to transition into catering to accommodate her customers demands after closing both restaurants.
Jerk World is expanding and vastly growing in corporate catering. She is very innovative and experimental with her food. Jerk is often thought to be spicy and feared by many who can't handle the heat; she discovered how to keep the authenticity of Jerk but giving her customers the choice for level of spiciness.
Jerk World customers have a choice between mild for the not so brave, with a fair balance of flavor and just a hint of spiciness or the mouth burning spicy for the thrill seekers.
